Access SCN from mobile devices

$

0

Hello there,

I was wondering if there is an android or other application for accessing scn from mobile devices like android phones, a tablet, apple iphones, itabs, etc.
Right now, it only works through browsers, but we have to scroll around everywhere to reach different parts of the page and its hard to keep track.

There are already a few apps existing like:
1. SAP SDN blogs - good but this one only has a few modules of SAP and that too only blogs.

2. SAP tables - few modules again & consists of ONLY tables.

and then there are others like SAP Interview Questions and so on.

In spite of all the above there is not an app that allows users to access various parts of SCN like 'Browse' or 'Create' Content, visiting Wiki, communications, activities, actions and so many other places on SCN.

Therefore, as many people in today's world are well equipped with all sorts of mobile devices, I think it would make a lot of difference, in a good way (of course), if we have a dedicated app, just for SCN. We would be able to access it "on the go", not to mention the increased contribution & participation of people all over in the SAP world.

If there is already such an app existing, please let me know about it and if not, please let me know what you guys think!

Thank you.

The wait is over! I know many of you are looking forward to finding out who are the SCN Topic Leaders for the contest period August 1, 2012 to July 31, 2013. Thank you for your patience as I put this list together, it is longer than it has ever been :-)

As explained in my earlier blog post, the program now recognizes more members in many diverse areas, thus representing the breadth of contributions on SCN. I hope that you will find the list below meaningful and that it will help you get to know people in your area of interest.

As a reminder, people listed here earned at least 440 points in the contest period, in a space where topic expertise can be determined - certain areas such as Getting Started or Events are not included.

Perks

Unfortunately we are not able to give a free passes to all Topic Leaders, we never did it, but we will reach out to all of you to find out who is planning to come to SAP TechEd. We want to give you the opportunity to meet the SCN team and SAP Mentors there, and to get well-deserved recognition on stage at the DemoJam event.

You will soon receive an Acknowledgement of Achievement per e-mail and a new shiny badge on SCN.

Acknowledgements

Many thanks to Bunchball and Sean Yang for helping me put this list together, as well as Audrey StevensonJeanne Carboni and Chip Rodgers for the guidance as we worked together to update the program.

Thank you to the SCN Moderators and Space Editors who reviewed the list with me.

Kudos and Thank-Yous to SAP employees who support the community in many ways but are not listed here:

Rui Nogueira for his work to encourage community engagement around the HANA Cloud Developer Platform

Juergen Schmerder behind the scenes of the Developer Community, organizing InnoJam events across the worlds and supporting the geeky SAP fans with various programs and activities

Diem Lam who manages the University Alliances Community

SCN Team members such as Jason Lax, who answers many community questions in the SCN Support space, Audrey Stevenson who manages gamification with me, and Mark Finnern who manages the SAP Mentor program together with Ali Samieivafa and Maria Farrales.

I don’t want these people to think that they are forgotten, because they did earn a significant amount of points as part of their jobs in the contest year. Thank you guys for all your efforts with these programs!

#SCNis10 - You, Me & SCN

Life is a mirror. What we wish to see outside must first exist inside.

Hence, if we want a beautiful day, we must wake up with a  face that has a beautiful smile, a heart that has unconditional love and a mind that has magnificent thoughts. The most effective way to put this into action is with our mornings.

It has been 10 wonderful years since SCN was launched and it has been 10 years as well when I passed my 10th standard final exam.

I started my IT career in Jul, 2010 after completing graduation and moved to SAP ABAP, Net weaver technology. I was introduced to mobility in Sept 2011 especially in SUP field. I registered myself to SDN (old name) in Sept month same year only and this 2 years of experience with SCN has been amazing.

I remember while working on SUP, I got stuck in an issue and my colleague told me to post a  thread on SDN. Within less than 24 hours I got relevant solution by experts. It was Nov 24th, 2011. From that date onwards I started being involved on SCN.

SCN a pivotal, has enhanced my professional and personal life to next level. I won't stick in saying that I have learnt a lot but at the same time I have created a huge network with many active SCN members. I can always say proudly that I have been part of a well respected forum that provides value to many folks in many different ways.

I have been following many forums/spaces apart from my key area like Career Center. When I look all the threads/blogs over here I find that there are so many young folks who are very much enthusiastic about their careers especially in SAP field. This is something fantastic about them.

I recently got a badge on being Popular on SCN. It feels great when some appreciation is done in this way. Capture.PNG

Today morning I got mail which lists my name as Topic Leader at SAP Mobile Platform Developer space. I cant stop my self thanking Laure Cetin for this most awaited announcement. I would like to thanks all my friends who have been so supportive and helpful. Without you it would have not possible.

Again I hope and believe SCN will reach another milestone very soon.

Blog It Forward - Steffi Warnecke

$
0

Okay, okay, I yield! ^^

Getting me to participate in the Blog It Forward Community Challenge was a group effort by Thomas Zloch, Lukas Weigelt and Jelena Perfiljeva, who made it official, when she joined their forces and included me in her great own BIF-entry. So you have them to thank for this. Or "thank", you'll be the judge of that.

Well, here goes nothing...

Introduction

My name is Steffi Warnecke and though my name looks pretty simple to me, people still find ways to write it wrong. Especially "Steffie" is big, which strangely bugs me a lot more than the several spellings of my surname. ^^

I live in Germany, more precisely near Frankfurt/Main, where I work for a big, national company, that has several branches all over Germany. I'm part of the SAP team (d'oh) there and am responsible for the portals, the IdM, (the non-SAP) wiki and a third-party module for contract administration, that is integrated in SAP. Additionally I do trainings for new employees to show them the basics in the SAP-environment. I'm also the one that orders the office supplies for our department.

So I am one of those allrounders and loving it! Since I'm interested in so many things (and every day find more), this is perfect for me. It keeps me learning and challenges me. I wouldn't want it any other way, even though this means, I'll never have the in-depth-knowledge, the specialists accumulate.

Fun Facts

Let's see... I can sit in front of my huuuge LCD TV for hours (and hours) watching DVDs (which I collect) or playing a videogame. On the other hand I spend my last vacation hiking through the beautiful landscape that is Connemara in Ireland. So you can say, I'm an outdoorsy couch potato. *g*

Another fun fact: this is what my hair looks like:

myhair.jpg

The BIF questions

First I'll try my best with two of Jelenas questions.

What is your favorite place in the world?

Hmm, I'm kind of torn here...

Is it my big, red couch, where I lounge away comfortable while doing stuff (e.g. surfing or watching a DVD or playing a game). It's definitly my HQ in the apartment and the place I can really relax.

Or is it the couch of my grandmother, while we watch silly soap operas together, which is our daily routine (from 2 pm to 4 pm!) when I visit home for some days.

Or one of the great places I have seen and fell in love with like San Francisco, that I visited for a week on my 3-week-trip through the USA last year. Or the beautiful and wild Connemara, that I want and WILL visit again someday?

I can't really say. I'm just glad, all those places exist and that I can go back there anytime.

What was your dream job as a kid?

Another tough on, hmm. Like I mentioned in Jelenas blog, I was born in Eastern Germany, but I had the great fortune, that I just spend a part of my childhood behind the Iron Curtain (and at that age, you don't really experience the restriction). So while I grew up the wall fell and pretty much anything was possible. If I just could make up my mind that is.

I'm very curious, always was, so I really can't remember, if there was that one job I wanted to do when being a grown-up. Maybe care for and training horses, like my mother was. Or doing something like biology. Or... something else.

I still couldn't decide years later, when the clock was really ticking. I went from thinking about florist to construction draftsman to pathologist. Yes, wide spread, welcome to my mind. ^^ The last year before my graduation is the reason, I'm here right know and writing this, because there we learned Turbo Pascal in our IT class and that made me look for IT-related training, because I had so much fun doing it.

The “surprise” question: If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

Okay, probably not really a surprise to people, who have witnessed my love for Matts quote-sprinkled blogs, but I don't care!

Being a fan of fantastic stories, it's no wonder that I thought about which of those amazing powers I would love to possess, if I had the choice of picking one. Flying? To woosh to places I love to be instead of traveling for hours and hours? Or better yet beaming? Or how about slow aging. Or super healing?

Well, all of those and more are great, but the one I want to have is the ability to speak, read, write and understand all languages, still used or dead. Like I said, I'm really curious, so to have the chance to speak to everyone, understanding everything there is to read when I visit a foreign country and learning something about other cultures without the language barrier, that would just be awesome! Like the texts, the ancient peoples left. Or just the menu in a Japanese restaurant. Or helping some poor tourist looking for the right way. Or asking for it myself. Or discussing with deaf people per sign language!

Even when I just think of all those possibilities, I'm getting really exited!

I know, I could just learn a lot of languages. And I have on my "life - todo"-list to learn Japanese and Sign Language. But there is the time thing and the other one with forgetting the learned information when there is no chance of practicing every day. And also I'm kind of lazy when it comes to learn by heart, since I'm more of a practical person. ^^

So in short: being omniglot.

Coming to an end

In the traditon of the BIF-spirit, I blog it forward to Akhilesh Singh, kishan P and  Gordon Du and challenge them to answer the following questions:

  • Name the person who affected you most in your career/ way of thinking and why?
  • If you could be a super hero (or are in your spare time) who would you be?
  • Which 5 things do you absolutely want to achieve in life?

To see how it's best done, read the Blog It Forward Community Challenge -document. It really helped me.

So there you have it, my BIF-entry. Kind of fun writing it and I hope, it was worth reading this far. ^^ If not, you know who to blame.

Regards,

Steffi.

SCN's Day Without A Smart Phone Challenge

$
0
0

Although fascinated by enterprise technology, I'd never really been into domestic or
home technology.

Until 2 years ago I'd refused to get sucked into buying a smart phone and was
blissfully happy with an old Nokia phone, like this:

Picture 002small.jpg

Then 2 years ago, calculating airmiles I found there were enough to order a
Samsung Galaxy SII, ok, let's go for I thought and ordered it with the airmiles.

The phone arrived in a nice box, a couple of hours were spent setting up emails,
and then over time, applications were installed, Skype, Viber, WhatsAp etc.

The phone, really a computer in my pocket opened a new world, the 8 megapixel
camera was invaluable for catching interesting spur of the moment photo opportunities
especially with the children in situations where one wouldn't normally think to
bring the camera. The videos possibility proved equally rewarding for the same
reasons.

Surfing news sites and web sites of interest and keeping up with areas I am involved
in was easy, just lift up the phone and see the latest news.

My conclusion became, this device which I'd never been interested in, became really invaluable,
and I had become a convert.

Fast forward two years, and these days, more and more I hear my children say, Dad leave the phone
and come and play with us, oh my goodness, am I a sinner and feeling bad especially as
through my work I now have an iPhone 5 with work email integtrated, like this:

Picture 007small.png

Mark's thought provoking piece last week was for me a wake up call and a reminder about any

doubts we have that we are really getting the right amount of quality time for our work and our

domestic life.

Then this weekend a funny thing happened, I left the phone charger at work, at the office, and
had I been on call I'd have gone out and bought a phone charger, but no on-call this weekend,
so I thought, I'll put the smart phone away and swap the sim card into an old Nokia.

That was on Friday evening.

Today we are at Saturday evening and I feel liberated, emancipated, free. As the smart phone's
battery is flat and I free from it, free from it's distractions which are so easy to get sucked
into, just a quick look at this a quick look at that, just check this, just check that.

Not using the smart phone for the last 24 hours has provided a freedom from distraction which
I've not seen for a long time.

And this got me thinking, I challenge the community, to set themselve's a personal challenge,
to take the sim card from the smart phone and put it into an old phone for a Saturday or a Sunday.

This is a personal challenge, because nobody is competing against anybody else, in this exercise,
we are simply competing against ourselves.

So the challenge is laid down, for one Saturday, from the morning, until Sunday morning, 24 hours,
put the smart phone away and use an old non-smart phone.

In a nutshell, this means:

1) Pick a weekend when you are not on call or not expected to be checking work email

2) If you have an iPhone with a small sim card, as preparation for this activity you might need

to order a normal size sim card for the same number that you can put in the older phone,

so check the sim card size and order the bigger sim card if necessary

3) Saturday morning when you get up, take the sim card out of this kind of smart phone

[if you don't know how to get the sim card out then look on google]

Picture 007small.png

4) And put the sim card into this kind of phone

Picture 002small.jpg

5) Keep the sim card in the old phone until Sunday morning

It will be a rewarding journey, and it would be interesting for those who try it to report in the

comments of this blog, how it went, what they felt and how they used their new free time,

unleashed from the smart phone.

Looking forward to people's feedback and experience.

We could take this further, one weekend per month, no smart phone. Why only one weekend,
why not the times when we are not on call, if we're not on call we don't need to read our email,
and if people need us they can call us can't they, you know, the old way.

So, give it a try, and report back how it went.

All the best, and enjoy your new free time,

Andy.

p.s. pictures are mine, taken in the kitchen on a Nikon D3100, which I'm still learning

Ridiculous Service Market Place Password Restrictions

$
0
0

If you ask my opinion SAP have gone silly with their service market place password restrictions for "S" numbers.

The following lists the "MUST" Criteria and my comments as to why this is just plain silly

  • Be 8 characters long
  • ===>>> Must be 8 Characters long, not only does that limit password entropy which is where real security comes from it is like hanging out a big flag to crackers, hey, you don't have to worry about brute force for any other length than 8 chars, and guess what password is 8 chars, oh Password !!!! Is your Char field only 8 char's long? what happens if I try to put more than 8 in it??
  • Include at least one letter (a-z, A-Z) and one number (0-9). Note: the password is not case-sensitive
  • ===>>> What??? The password is NOT Case-sensitive???????
  • Include at least one special character from the following set: ! \ " @ $ % & / ( { [ ] } ) + - * = ? ' ~ # _ . , ; : < >
  • ====>>>  Limiting my ASCII set, so now not only do I know what your program is looking for programmatically you have limited my password strength possibilities
  • Not contain any blanks
  • ===>>> Why NOT? another something crackers can eliminate from their brute force attacks, and not only that you have given hints that your software cannot handle spaces, that might produce interesting results..... Given we assume SAP runs SAP can we then assume that all Netweaver stack's hold this kind of susceptibility?? not saying it does, but maybe it does given you have to legislate against it
  • Not start with ? or !
  • =====>>>> Why NOT? afraid of SQL injection maybe? just given crackers more clues as to your password strength rules and a possible knowledge that you are not handling attacks very well??? are you taking a POST with a ? in it that does interesting stuff? just raising the question ....
  • Not begin with 3 identical characters
  • ====> Great, 8 chars and cannot have 3 identical chars at the start, more I can eliminate from a brute force dictionary
  • Be different from the last 5 passwords
  • ===>>> Someone please explain how Passwork is more secure than Passworj than Passworh than Passworg than Passworf than Password Please do so !!!!!

Call me a cynical old admin but really, I have never seen such a long ridiculous rule set for passwords that adds absolutely no value to your password policy, in fact it significantly detracts from it!!!

First of all Congratulations to SCN for 10 years of success drive and Thanks to all who made it happened.I am very delight that I had a chance to participate in #SCNis10 contest, oppurtunity to give my regards to all in SCN and share some of my memories with SCN.

I joined SCN on 2007.  First time, I earned 2 points for query regarding system installation, After an half year, I just earned 30+ points,  It was my favourite team leader got issue resolved from my answer and called from German and appreciated. This was the foundation that I understand the value of learning and need of sharing.

But very soon I come out of that project, later moved from the company. After 3 years again 2009, I created my permanent ID and started to contribute.

In my journey in SCN I almost come across all the kind of situations. There were likes, there were arguments, there were Controversies, there were appreciations, there were uncomfortable, there were good moments, there were worst comments. SCN Topic Space Proposal: NetWeaver Basis Architecture Space

Introduction

SCN acts as a container for Topic Spaces across a wide range of SAP universe related

topics.

A Topic Space in essence is a home for everything to do with that topic within the community,

including essentially:

     . Discussions

     . Documents

     . Blog Posts

     . Related Resources

There is one collective within the SCN Community, one group, who are not currently represented

by an SCN Topic Space, and that collective, that group is,

          NetWeaver Basis Architects

This blog will lay out in the open the proposal and request for a new SCN Topic Space for

NetWeaver Basis Architects within the SCN Community

What Is NetWeaver Basis Architecture ?

NetWeaver Basis Architecture is a huge and complex subject spanning:

. vertically the depths from blue print to realisation and operational support of a SAP system

and spanning

. horizontally across all SAP components

Basis Architecture is from the two sheets of A4 describing the initial requirements of a greenfield

implementation to operationally supporting existing installations and everything in between and

around it.

This means from planning SAP installations through to keeping SAP running, and across all

SAP components and their integrations and non-SAP components and their integrations down

to the database and the operating system, and upto disaster planning and recovery.

There is currently no home, no Topic Space, where like minded Basis Architects (and others) can

discuss and blog and document and share knowledge and collective experience on the NetWeaver

Basis Architecture subject

Today there is nowhere for like minded Basis Architects to call home, to chew the cud and share

experiences and challenges.

What Do We Need ?

Within the grounds of the SCN Community we need a new Topic Space to planned, prepared and delivered

for NetWeaver Basis Architects.

It won't be an overnight exercise, as with any such task there needs to be proper planning and preparation

to prevent poor performance.

As part of the preparation, for example, Moderators will need to be selected for the Discussion Forums, tags

will need to be prepared for indexing and cataloguing NetWeaver Basis Architecture Content.

Ultimately the deliverable should be a Topic Space for NetWeaver Basis Architects following the same

template as other Topic Spaces in SCN including:

. Discussions in NetWeaver Basis Architecture

. Documents in NetWeaver Basis Architecture

. Blog Posts in NetWeaver Basis Architecture

Obviously as content in NetWeaver Basis Architecture grows so the Topic Space will have rippling

     stacks of:

               . Related Content

               . Recent Activity

               . Popular Content

               . Key Topics

               . Related Resources

     and as already mentioned:

          . Moderators

     and naturally eventually:

          . Top Contributors

Next Steps:

NetWeaver Basis Architects:

. If you like this proposal, please give contructive feedback in the comments, this will be your

chance, to have a home, where everything NetWeaver Basis Architecture will be under one roof

Aspiring NetWeaver Basis Architects/ Basis Administrators and Everybody Interested In NetWeaver

Basis  Architecture Subjects

. If you would benefit from having one Topic Space on the SCN related to Architecture feel

welcome to give your constructive feedback in the comments section below

SCN Community Leaders

. If you agree with this proposal, let's all work together to deliver it to the benefit of all

Looking forward to feedback,

Andy.

SCN Ten Years On: Will SAP HANA do for data what Blogger did for words?

SDNactivation.JPGIn September 2003, a new project called the “SAP Developer Network” approached the advanced BI development team in Palo Alto for content.  I was a writer on that team, and together we decided to put one of the first packages for download on the network, the (clearly famous) XML for Analysis Client Sample.

It was therefore exactly ten years ago that my account was "activated" on the SDN. And that was only the beginning.  We followed this up by using the SDN to publish the greater project we were working on, the BI Java SDK, as well as its full HTML-based documentation set, which was my responsibility and of which I am still mightily proud.  Without the SDN our product itself would not have had this same kind of distribution opportunity.

In fact, the new SAP Developer Network (later rechristened SAP Community Network) heralded a new era of openness itself at SAP. In the months that followed, indeed many seemed to internally scramble to understand how to guide (and control) the fact of being able to publish – seemingly anything – online.  We received messages from Global Communications about how this was an external platform – that things we published could be read by customers – and that we should behave accordingly.  Imagine! People will actually see the things we write!

As a blogger since 1999 (almost since the original Blogger platform launched), I already had a strong sense of the disruptive potential of blogging, but the effect on the enterprise, also internally, was just beginning. Blogging was the beginning of nothing short of the democratization of communication itself – and the disruption of the related communications related industries, and, a bit more slowly, internal communications.

web2who.jpgIt took the unique perspective of a cultural anthropologist from Kansas, Mike Wesch, to contextualize this artfully, technically, and insightfully. (It was writing about the privilege of meeting this fellow that led me to one of my most rewarding relationships at SAP, with Marilyn Pratt.)

“Text is linear,” Wesch began in his seminal Web 2.0 video in 2007 until finally he ponders: “Who will organize all of this data?”

The answer?

We will.
You will.

Ten years on, the time is now right for a new dimension of this “Web 2.0” community platform: The dimension of data.  SAP HANA is poised to take over the democratization of data the same way that Blogger took on the democratization of words, and the resultant wide industry disruptions that meant.

We’ve already spawned our own “Mike Wesch’s” here on the SAP Community Network who write about the new opportunities.

"The emergence of a new breed of enterprise applications that combines the best of both worlds and brings analytical insight to the operational applications where users make real-time business decisions," writes SAP Mentor and SAP HANA entrepreneur Thorsten Franz in Betting My Livelihood on the OLTP-OLAP Convergence: Meet operatics, Thorsten’s HANA Startup.

Analytics, once the province of a specialized training, will be accessible at fingertips from those who enter the data to those who walk around with devices capturing and sensing the data in the first place.  We can only yet imagine what world you -- we -- will create.  I can’t wait to see the changes in this world ten years on from now.

Happy Birthday SAP Community Network, and many many more!

love,

Moya

When did coffee corner stop being a points-free space?

$
0
0

I know it has been like this for a while but I missed the change. What was the reason? In my opinion it seems to be encouraging content that is maybe best posted elsewhere. The Coffee Corner used to be a good place to hangout. Now, between all the song lyrics and poetry it is hard to find the interesting content (unless you like song lyrics or poetry, I guess). I can't help feeling this stuff is being posted just to earn points, but I also don't feel able to report it for "points gaming" abuse as the Coffee Corner is "The official space where you can share and discuss any topic that is on your mind."

It seems to me that an "anything goes" space shouldn't be a points-earning space.

Or maybe I'm just in a grumpy mood today.

Steve.

Gateway Moderators

Hi,

I have posted Question to SAP Netweaver Gateway space 4 days ago, and because my account is still moderated I have to wait for approval.... But today it's a fifth day. Is it normal to wait so long time for adding my question?

Another problem is, I have to create this new account because my old was linked to S user and when I left my previous company, the S user was cancelled and my old account is unaccessible - btw. was created with my personal e-mail, not company email.

Here is the communication with SAP:

Dear Jiri,

Your life time points are displayed next to your user name.

We are sorry. Due to roll-out of a new platform, this functionality is temporary unavailable. Please write back to us regarding this request later again. We appreciate your patience.

Our developers are still working to develop the account consolidation tool. When this tool will be ready we will be able to merge your two accounts.Unfortunately it seems that this tool will be available only in a few months.Sorry for any inconvenience.

I am sorry, but they still do not have this ready yet. I expect that when it is finally available, there will be an announcement on the home page letting everyone know. It is a highly demanded feature.

Kind Regards,

Support Group

Hello,

I am sorry. Once you have left a company, and the administrator disables your S user S0003970550, it can no longer be used. You will need to create a new account on our site. Once you have done this, send us the new account number and we can transfer your forum posts and points to the new account.

Kind Regards,

Dear SCN Team,

I have been active on SCN since 2011. I might have answered/replied some hundreds of questions. I would like to get a list of all my best answers. I mean, the questions which were answered correctly by me(10 Marks Assignment). How to fetch this data from my profile?

Regards,

Suman

Blog It Forward - Martin Grob

So here is my "blog it forward" contribution. I was asked or invited by Jitendra Kansal. Thanks for the invitation and sorry it took me so long to find the time or the right mood to write about me.  My sudden motivation has nothing to do with the cute little badge you get these days

What you should know about me...

I'm an SAP BusinessWarehouse InHouse consultant, working currently for a large medical devices company headquartered in Switzerland. I've been working with SAP since 2005 or BW 3.0B and being an active member on scn as of this year.

I love to travel the world.  With my vacation days and long weekends,  I'm working towards visiting my first 100  countries according to The Travelers' Century Club.  Currently, I'm at 87.  In addtion to travelling, my other big passion  (not counting scn) is photography... well, actually the two go really well together .

If you d'like to check out some of my shots stop by on my website mentioned in my profile. I met my canadian wife on one of my trips to the US and we had a long-distance relationship for about a year, until we settled in Switzerland.

About my Country/Hometown

index.jpgSwitzerland...

Did you know that Switzerland is the only country aside from the Vatican which has a square flag? Every other fun fact about Switzerland is probably a cliche anyway . You know mountains, chocolate, watches and Heidi..

Gossau SG is the town where I grew up and is a city with roughly 18'000 people, making it the 4th largest city in the canton of St.Gallen. There is nothing spectacular to say about the town itself, but I spent the first 25 years of my life there and it is still my center where we get together as a family.

I have been asked to answer the following three questions:

1) What makes you smile/laugh?

That question is now pretty easy... on Halloween my first little daugther was born and when I look in her face I can't help it - one just has to smile.

1401584_10202072182421683_1561003892_o.jpgShe is just the cutest thing

2) Had you not been into software at all, where would you have been?

Good question. My first education was as an electrician before I went to university and got my degree in Business Informatics. I probably would have ended up as a firefigther though and I did this on a volunteer basis for the last 10 years.

3) What is the craziest thing you have done in your life?

I would say taking the nuclear powered icebreaker "50 years of Victory" and sailing or rather crushing through the pack ice to the NorthPole. Personally I don't think I can get any crazier than this!! It was a very spectacular honeymoon into a bizar arctic world with 24 hours of daylight.

I would forward this blog to my BW colleagues on SCN Raman K Chowthary and Suman Chakravarthy K with those  3 questions.

  • What do you most enjoy on SCN?
  • What is the best lesson your parents taught you?
  • Which 5 things do you absolutely want to achieve in life?
